American Land Title Association Honors Texas Member with National Title Professional Recognition

Washington, DC, January 14, 2020 — John C. Martin CAEP, CTIP, NTP has earned his National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Formally acknowledged with his NTP designation on Oct. 1, 2019, Martin is the 102nd leader from across the United States who has devoted his careers and himself to the land title industry.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

“The NTP designation is not an award; it is a recognition that only the most committed land title industry professionals are entitled to,” said ALTA President Mary O’Donnell. “ALTA members must go through a vigorous audit, demonstrating knowledge, experience and dedication to obtain the title. John’s overwhelming wealth of experience, ambition and entrepreneurial spirit make him an ideal candidate for the NTP designation. He certainly is deserving of the honor. I hope other land title insurance experts follow his lead and aim for this achievement.”

With more than 30 years of experience in the land title insurance industry, Martin is president and owner of Lone Star Title Company of El Paso Inc. in El Paso, Texas. A past president of the Texas Land Title Association (2018-2019) and the Independent Title Agents of Texas (2015-2017), he is a current board member of the Texas Title Insurance Guaranty Association. He also is a continuing education instructor for the Texas Real Estate Commission.

“My company has been involved in the development and construction of over 14,000 apartments in nine different states,” said Tom Bohannon, president and CEO of Bohannon Development Corp. in El Paso, Texas. “There is nobody better than John Martin in the title business. John is as fine a person as I have ever known and an important asset in our community.”

American Land Title Association Honors Texas Member with National Title Professional Recognition

Washington, DC, October 20, 2020 — Randy Pearson CTIP, NTP has earned his National Title Professional (NTP) designation from the American Land Title Association (ALTA), the national trade association of the land title insurance industry. Formally acknowledged with his NTP designation on July 1, 2020, Pearson is one of 94 leaders across the United States who have devoted their careers and themselves to the land title industry.

The designation recognizes land title professionals who demonstrate the knowledge, experience and dedication essential to the safe and efficient transfer of real property.*

“The NTP designation is a recognition that only the most knowledgeable and committed land title insurance industry professionals are entitled to,” said ALTA President Bill Burding NTP. “I have gone through the process, and it is not easy. ALTA members trying to earn their designation must undergo a vigorous audit and demonstrate extensive experience in and dedication to the title insurance industry. Although Randy refers to himself as an ‘amateur,’ his four decades of experience tell another story. His wealth of knowledge, generosity and ability to lift others make him an ideal candidate for the NTP designation. I hope other title insurance experts follow his lead and aim for this achievement.”

After 40 years in the land title insurance industry, Pearson is a well-known figure in the Texas Land Title Association (TLTA). He has been involved with the TLTA’s professional certification program since its inception, coaching 28 people through the state designation process. Senior vice president of Town Square Title Co. in Waxahachie, Texas, Pearson is on the Board of Trustees for the TLTA Political Action Committee, a member of the Granbury Association of Realtors and a commissioner of the Granbury Housing Authority. Pearson also volunteers on other boards and charitable organizations, living by the axiom, “the more you give, the more you get back.”
